Dorothy Plunk is the girl of Sonny's dreams. While Sonny spends most of his time attracted to her, Dorothy only wants to be friends and go out with other boys. For a period of time Sonny ignores Dorothy because she was in a relationship with his brother. Dorothy also took Sonny spot in a calculis class because her grades were higher.

Valentine is an older who loved to throw herself at Sonny. She always told him that he needed to find a girl that would appreciate him.

Wernher von Braun

Wernher von Braun was Sonny's idol who worked at Cape Canarval. One year for Christmas, Elsie gave Sonny his picture withi his autograph on it.

John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy was a senator running for office before Sonny went to Indianapolis. It was when Sonny was suit shopping that he met John F. Kennedy and had thr apportunity to ask him a question.

Jim is Sonny's older brother who balmes him for the bickering and controversy bwteen their parents. Jim was an outstanding football player and very popular with the girls. He was a stylish person who was the man of the campus.
